She was beautiful. Long and wavy dark hair was framing her ivory body. Never had he thought to be with a woman again. Not before he met her. Something about her had been so irresistible. The way she moved, the way she spoke, the way she looked at him. All that was like a cocktail that promised great pleasure.
"Darling come to me!", her sultry voice reached his ear as she petted the bed next to her.
Her wish was his command and as the words echoed in his mind he moved towards her stark naked body. So many nights had he spent condemning the female sex and now there was nothing he wanted more than to touch that woman. What had she done to him to enchant him like this?
Nick couldn't hold back anymore by the time he sat down next to her. In an instinct that was both wild and full of passion he put his hands on her breasts. For a moment he just allowed them to rest there before he started to squeeze them. They were so full and heavy, natural and beautiful. Now that they were out of that tight corset the beauty had worn, he could fully appreciate them. A cheeky smirk lay on his lips as he started to move his thumbs to her nipples circling them lightly to make them stand. As he did so he looked into her eyes.
They were so blue. So terribly blue, not unlike his own. He felt himself sink deep into their waters, nearly drowning until he pulled away in the last moment. She moaned and he brought his attention back to her breasts, leaning down to trail the tip of his tongue along her nipple. First on the right side then on the left. She whimpered in pleasure and he brought his hands down towards her hips. He wanted to push her to the bed.
"No my love. Wait!", she put her hand on his shoulder and pushed him back lightly. He complied. "I want to do something else.", her voice was like a distant echo.
Not hesitating a moment she slid off the bed moving herself to kneel between his legs. He knew what she wanted to do, but the way she did it surprised him. After freeing him of his pants and boxer shorts she positioned herself close to him. Close enough that she was able to put her breasts around his erect penis.
"Oh Babe...", he moaned as she did that and started to squeeze her ample bosom around his manhood.
As he looked down at her he saw her smile, before she put her lips against his glans. He gasped at the pure pleasure that evoked in him, dropping his head slightly backwards in the process. She was not only beautiful but she was damn good at this. This probably wasn't the first time she did something like this. It seemed like she was someone with experience. The way she trailed her tongue around his cock before sucking again drove him wild. Firmly he grabbed the back of her head to control her motion.
That was the moment it happened.
When he looked down at her again he saw it only as a flash in her eyes. It startled him, but he had no time to react. Suddenly he felt teeth on his flesh. A second later he felt sharp pain on his dick.
It only lasted a moment, then a wave of pleasure rushed over him.
Even if he had wanted to, he couldn't do anything against it. It was as if he was paralyzed. And it felt so good, even better than what she had done before. Even better, than what he thought the night would bring. Blood was rushing through his veins, he could feel it, tingling all of his senses. He lost himself in that feeling, his body dropping back to the bed, while she continued.
Nick didn't know what was happening. Didn't know that she was drinking his blood. Draining him of all of his vitae. Didn't know that his most valuable life substance was being sucked out of him in quick gulps. It didn't matter to her that he was loosing consciousness. It didn't matter, that he was dying. She didn't stop until she gathered every last drop of it.
His heartbeat had stopped. And had it not been for her plan, he would have stayed lifeless. But as soon as she was done drinking, she bit her own wrist causing it to bleed. Thus prepared she brought the arm up to his lips allowing him to taste the sweetness that lay in her veins.
"Shhh... Darling. Everything will be alright.", she whispered to him as her blood dropping to his lips caused them to twitch. His body, which had been lifeless was suddenly put in motion. In instinct he pressed his mouth to her wrist and started to drink. He drank and drank until he felt satisfied and until a new darkness fell upon him. - "Wakey, Wakey! Rise and Shine!", a male voice reached his ear, when he woke in a room he barely remembered. Confused for a moment he looked around. The place was rather run down, the tapestry was old and ripped in parts. He was laying on a bed that had seen better days and was squeaking as he moved. After a moment of quick orientation he noticed he was not alone. Right next to the bed he saw a man, a bit smaller than him, dressed in a trench-coat he had combined with an 'Iron Maiden' band-shirt, cargo pants and boots. As the guy stepped closer he drew his attention towards his face. Nick noticed curly-brown hair and icy-blue eyes. He was beautiful.
Who was he? What did he want with him? And why was he here?
As Nick thought about how he got here, he remembered a woman: a striking beauty. He remembered making out with her and then it had happened. It was like a far away memory, but there had been immense pleasure and then she gave him her blood. Where was she now?
When he looked around it took not long until he saw her. There she was laying next to him immobile, stiff, eyes wide open. As he looked over her frame he saw a stake sticking from her chest. In shock Nick jumped from the bed on the opposite side to where the man was standing. What happened to her? Was she dead? Had the man done that?
More than a bit worried he looked to the man who was still watching him: "What have you done?", he called over to him. There was no response. Instead the man brought his wrist to his lips and bit it, causing blood to flow.
"Drink", the man spoke and hold the wrist out to Nick.
Immediately he felt how his senses were heightening. He could smell it, so sweet and alluring. It nearly drove him crazy. He wanted that blood, he wanted it so badly. That desire it was so primal and he felt like something inside of him was pushing him forward. Before he could even think about it he had closed the gap between him and the man and pressed his lips to that bleeding wrist. What happened was out of his control, he didn't understand it yet, but suddenly he noticed he had fangs and he sank them into that flesh, biting firmly, before starting to drink that sweet, sweet liquid.
What was wrong with him? Why did he have fangs? He couldn't think about it too long, cause drinking that blood felt so exciting that it pushed away all other things that were on his mind. As the blood rushed into him he felt it brought strength with it. A second later he felt euphoria running through his veins, such a wild feeling that it made him feel dizzy. He didn't feel like he could stop himself, but just in that moment the man forcefully pulled his arm back.
"Enough! Calm down fledgling!", he growled lightly then licked his wrist.
Nick gasped when he watched that and saw the wound close like it had never been there. So many questions were running through his head. He wanted to ask them all at once and he wanted to direct them towards that man, who all of a sudden seemed to be the most interesting thing in the room. In the end though, he settled for one question.
"What happened?", it was the most general question Nick could think of and it encompassed all other questions he was worrying about.
The man laughed and walked past him towards the edge of the bed staring down at the stiff female body laying there. When he noticed Nick looking at him again he gestured at the woman.
"She sired you dear. This woman, made you her childe.", he said and gently trailed his fingers along the skin of her cheeks, pulling on it lightly to reveal her fangs, "She is a vampire, you are a vampire now too. Problem is: she didn't ask for permission.", he sighed and pulled his hands away from the female turning his body to face Nick.
He was silent and Nick appreciated that, because he had to digest what the man had told him. A vampire, he said? Vampires were a thing of fairy-tales they didn't exist and yet Nick could feel how sharp his fangs were when he trailed his tongue along them. And yet he remembered vividly drinking her blood and drinking his blood. As weird as it sounded, he only could believe what the man told him. Still it created a whole bunch of new questions.
He wanted to ask them but the man interrupted him: "See vampire society has certain rules that need to be followed to guarantee our safety.", he sighed, "I had to stake her. Too bad really. Lauren was such a sweet girl. But hey at least it is your lucky day or perhaps I should say night?"
The man chuckled and closed the gap between them suddenly throwing his arms around Nick to hug him pulling him close to his chest. Nick was surprised by that and he gasped when he noticed how cold that other body was and yet he didn't mind it. It felt right to be close to this man. An instinct was telling him to stay.
"What do you mean?", Nick asked while still being hugged.
"Well ... your Sire is dead, but don't worry. I'm here to adopt you. I already asked the prince, too. You don't need to share Lauren's fate. Be happy!", he giggled and pulled away from the hug only to tickle his sides.
Nick didn't feel a thing and he looked confused at the man.
"Don't worry, you soon will understand. For now you should know that my name is Brian and I'm so happy to meet you little Nightingale!", as he spoke he reached a hand out to cup his cheek, "You are just how I imagined you to be.", he chuckled as he pulled the hand back again.
Whatever that man was saying Nick felt entranced by him, his movements and his words. He wanted to watch him, never let him out of his eye-sight again. Had it not been for the door swinging open he would have continued to stare. But the sudden motion startled him.
As he jerked his head around Nick could see a man dressed in a long leather coat stepping into the room. His hair was black and long and he had a beard. He was taller than Brian, but not taller than Nick, but still his appearance was quite impressive. "The prince sentences her to die.", the tall man spoke before he even had fully stepped into the room. Only when he closed the door behind himself did he eye first Brian than Nick.
"I see the fledgling is alive. I assume he is your promised childe then?", the man asked as he turned back to face Brian.
"Smart as usual Kevin.", Brian grinned, but it soon faded as he sighed and reached under his trench-coat.
A moment later Nick saw how the smaller man had pulled a meat-cleaver from beneath his clothes. He widened his eyes when he realized what he was about to do.
"Stop!", he called and wanted to jump forward to grab the arm holding the cleaver, that was now hovering above the female. Before he could reach him though, the bearded guy had caught him, holding him firmly around his waist.
"Shhh fledgling. When she is gone you'll be free of the bond.", the guy called Kevin whispered into his ear, while they both watched Brian.
He didn't stop. He had not even hesitated when Nick had called him out. With a good swing he lifted the cleaver only to let it fly down onto the woman's neck. In a swift motion he separated her head from the body. It went so fast, that Nick didn't even have the time to scream. Just moments later her body crumbled to dust.
"I'm sorry you had to see that on your first night. But that's how things are in our world. This is what needs to be done to preserve the Masquerade.", Brian spoke without even turning away from the ashes that once were a woman.
Nick was shocked. Not because he just had seen a woman being killed, more because of everything. What was this night? Was this all just a weird dream? With some degree of hope he pinched himself, but nothing happened, he didn't wake from any dream. This was real.
"What do we do with him?", Kevin asked and let go of Nick just as Brian turned to face the two of them again.
"The day is close Kevin. We can't do much with him today. I will take him to my haven and tomorrow we will start to teach him our ways and ... oh ... we will see the prince as well.", as Brian spoke he stepped closer to Nick until he could cup his cheek again, "Before we go though. What's your name little Nightingale?", Brian asked looking deep into Nicks eyes.
How could a single man be that beautiful? If his heart had been beating now it would have skipped a beat. Nick felt totally enchanted. "My ... my name is Nick. It's ... a pleasure to meet you Brian.", he spoke with the sweetest of voices and a little smile.
In response the smaller man eyed him for a while before nodding. "Listen now, Nick. You come with me. My haven will surprise you, but you can trust me. You know you can!"
And he was speaking the truth, Nick had only ever felt that kind of trust once before with the woman that now lay in ashes on her bed. He wanted to follow Brian so badly. And as Brian noticed how eager he was to comply he smiled and started to move to the door. "Alright, let us go then. Follow!", he demanded and walked through the door.
Nick walked along and he noticed that Kevin was just behind him. The taller man had not introduced himself and he felt a bit wary about him. Still it felt hard to give him any attention, when Brian was walking in front of him, leading him out of the building towards a black car. Gently the smaller vampire opened the door, climbing into it slowly before beckoning Nick to sit down next to him. When he did Brian smiled again: "You are quite the docile little fledgling it seems, but don't worry you will meet your beast soon enough.", he breathed into Nicks ear as the newly created vampire closed the cars door behind himself.
Nick didn't even notice Kevin had stepped into the vehicle as well until it started driving. When it did he turned to look out of the window. They were close to a theater somewhere near the center of Santa Monica and the car was driving towards the Downtown area.
"Where are we going?", Nick finally dared to ask after a moment.
"Ebonheart Asylum, my domain. To be more exact my haven in its basement.", Brian spoke and put an arm around his shoulder, "It's not that far. You will see."
The new information caused Nick to blink. Why exactly where they going to an asylum? Was he insane after all? Perhaps that was true, after all these things he had seen this night were really crazy. Nick didn't know what to think about it. In a way he felt worried, but on the other hand, Brian was the one taking him along and that made everything better. Still he was struggling to come to terms with what was happening and what had happened already.
As he looked out of the window he started to think about all of it. First he had met a beautiful woman, then he had been passionate with her and suddenly things had gone crazy. It all seemed so weird and all the new information was so overwhelming. Only now that he had time to think did he realize how insane everything was. He was supposed to be a vampire? No ... he by now even accepted that he truly was one.
What did it all mean? Why was he just accepting everything? Why was he following a man he had never met before in his life? Nick couldn't understand it, he only was following his instincts.
"I'm really confused, you know?", he finally decided to speak and noticed how in response Brian pulled him a little closer.
"I know ... I know. But you know that in confusion there is always some hidden truth. It will be revealed to you very soon, don't you worry.", Brians voice was gentle as he spoke, then he pointed out the window, "See we are there already!"
And as Nick turned back to the window he noticed that they were on a driveway leading up a hill towards an old mental hospital. Kevin drove slowly but the path wasn't too long. Soon they reached the front door and Kevin stopped the vehicle.
Without a word Brian stepped out of the car, pulling Nick along with him. Before they walked on the smaller man knocked on the drivers window.
"Get home safely Kev. I'll be waiting here for you tomorrow night.", Brian said and waved as the taller guy started to drive again. When the car vanished in the distance Brian started to drag Nick along towards a staircase on the side of the building that lead into the basement. Before he reached the metal door at the bottom of the stairs he got out a key-card. A swipe across an electrical lock later and the door swung open. "Welcome to my haven!", Brian said and stepped inside, "You will sleep here through tomorrows day and any day that follows until you decide to leave!"
